Your needs might be as simple as having regular preventive cancer screening, examination of teeth and gum tissues, and professional cleaning appointments.  You might want to improve your smile or have a comfortable Myotronics bite (see our "procedures" page).  We are a dental practice devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of smiles  and to providing comfortable bites.  The good news is that a beautiful smile most often includes a comfortable bite.  The alignment of the teeth and biting surfaces should be the same for both a nice smile and  a comfortable bite.  If the individual teeth have good color, shape, and size, the best choice might be an orthodontic solution.  Many times, though, the changes can be made to create the perfect smile and bite in as little as three weeks.

High Standards

You will receive the benefits of our high standards for caring for our patients regardless of your dental needs.  We use the highest American Dental Association and OSHA standards for sterilizing all of our instruments.  Instruments are stored in sealed bags until needed.  We use digital X-Ray technology to get better, faster, and safer images.  Our daily cleaning service includes vacuuming all carpets with the exhaust vented outside the office.  We are fanatics about cleanliness.

Education & Prevention

We are true believers that preventive care and education are important keys to optimal dental health.  We strive to provide “dental health care” rather than “dental disease care”.  That’s why we focus on thorough exams (checking the overall health of your teeth and gums), doing regular oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary.  Regular professional cleanings, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease, but that is just our part.  Your daily brushing, flossing, rinsing (fluoride or antiseptic), and control of sugars complete the main preventive efforts.

Staff training

We regularly attend the annual American Dental Association and the semi-annual California Dental Association (San Francisco and Anaheim) meetings, but we go way beyond that usual type of training.  Routinely achieving three or four times the required courses, Dr. Turner and his staff emphasize mostly clinical "hands-on" courses, working with their own patients in clinical settings.  The whole staff completed almost all of the cosmetic and bite correction (TMJ) courses offered at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute.  Thanks to our three patients who "volunteered" to have their smiles improved and bites corrected.

Medical considerations

Our office is keenly aware of how your oral health affects your overall health and how your overall health affects your oral health.  We communicate regularly with physicians when we need to give guidance or receive guidance in order to provide safe and effective dental care.

Emergency Care

Our "regular patients" enjoy twenty-four hour per day access to emergency care.  Four dentists have shared emergency "call" for the last ten years.  Nobody gets into our group, and no one leaves.  We share the same answering service.  Each of us has agreed to follow a very strict code in caring for each other's patients.  Dialing our office number puts you into contact with the "on-call" dentist.

A Positive Experience

We understand how uneasy some patients may feel about their dental visits.  Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with personalized care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.  We offer nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") at no extra charge and use the state-of-the-art computer-assisted "The Wand" anesthesia system to make sure your visits are comfortable.

We thank our patients who have been with us for many years and welcome those who are considering becoming part of our dental family.
